How to Use
1. Prepare Your Nutrient Solution
Mix a balanced hydroponic nutrient solution with a pH between 5.5 and 6.5. An EC of approximately 1.5 mS/cm may be appropriate for established cuttings, depending on the crop.
2. Saturate the Block
Thoroughly wet the Hugo block with your nutrient solution using a watering wand or by submerging it for approximately 30 seconds. Allow excess solution to drain before transplanting.
3. Transplant Your Cutting
Insert a healthy, well-rooted cutting or starter plug into the preformed planting hole.
4. Monitor Moisture
Avoid overwatering immediately after transplanting. Allow the block’s weight to decrease approximately 20–30% from its initial saturated weight before applying the next irrigation.
5. Adjust Irrigation as Plants Grow
As roots establish and plants mature, gradually increase irrigation frequency based on plant demand, environmental conditions, and block moisture.
