LED's: A 30 Second Summary of How They Work

Let’s break down LED, into two part’s: 

light emitting and diode.


A diode is a semi-conductor that allows electricity to flow in only one direction.  

What makes an LED unique is that light is emitted as electricity flows through the diode.
